ADHD vs. Kinesthetic Learner Part 1 – Stephen Guffanti - If your child moves too much or doesn’t seem to pay attention, this is a workshop you don’t want to miss. You will enter the heart and mind of the ADHD child. You will experience both laughter and tears, but most of all, you will develop a deep understanding. In this workshop, you will learn how to identify the ADHD child vs. kinesthetic learner – and you’ll get the appropriate tools for both. You will discover there is hope for your child, your family and your relationship. Together we will look at solutions that may work for you. ADHD vs. Kinesthetic Learner Part 2 – Stephen Guffanti - If your child is a kinesthetic learner, then your spouse may be also. You need coping skills, resources, and techniques! Whether you are using medication or not, your goal is to find your child's strengths and help him compensate for his weaknesses. Together we will look at solutions that may work for you. Benefits, Rewards, and Advantages to Independent and Distance Learning – Dr. James M. Rawson, Neil Howe, Kristi Smalley - Participants at this workshop will discover the many benefits and rewards of independent and distance learning available to the high school student. Representatives from Brigham Young University, the University of Nebraska, the University of Oklahoma, the University of Missouri, and the North Dakota Division of Independent Study will provide workshop participants helpful information as they research and investigate various options. Workshop participants will learn about the many similar and unique aspects of these five high school programs as well as the many course offerings, costs, delivery methods, and other opportunities of independent and distance learning. In addition to discussing various aspects of high school distance learning, panelists will also be prepared to discuss elementary, middle school, and university offerings that might be offered by these institutions.
