BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF PRODUCTS THAT CAN BE PURCHASED BY IDEA:
o
Scaredy Cat Reading System covers reading skills ranging from letter recognition to "catastrophic." Gifted and reluctant learners both enjoy its songs and multi-sensory, logical, fun features. Parents find themselves understanding as they teach. The Scaredy Cat Reading System teaches phonics concepts through simple stories, games and songs. The letters are personified, and their antics make both the phonics rules and the confusing exceptions make sense. Meet Letter G, Mysteri-S, Good Guy U and many more. They teach phonics, beginning with letter sounds all the way through the rules of pronunciation. Understanding the concepts is only the beginning. Practice involves many learning styles and all five senses. This helps your student become a master at applying each principle before the next concept is introduced. The basic program comes in four levels. Each level contains an instruction manual, audio CD, Fun Learning Pack: games, puzzles, dice, pawns, and cards.
o
The Story of LetterMaster is the introduction to the entire Scaredy Cat Reading System. It is what makes all the rules and exceptions make sense! The Story of LetterMaster is included with Level One and Level Four. If you are entering the System at Level Two or Level Three, please purchase The Story of Lettermaster.
o
The Story of LetterMaster Video - The Story of LetterMaster is now available in video form! It is a simple animation made with mostly still pictures and narrated by Joyce Herzog. It tells basically the same story as the comic, but with an updated version of the character LetterMaster. It is broken into 6 to 13 minute segments. Both the video format and the shorter segments should be of benefit to short attention spans, but enjoyable for all young learners (up to about age 10). The video does cover all the concepts in the printed form, but does NOT include the songs from the PreRead (Level One) audio tape.
o
Single Serving Recipes - Teach your student meaningful math and relevant reading he needs to cook . . . one serving at a time. He measures, mixes, cooks and eats his own recipe from more than 50 one-serving recipes. Reward good behavior by having him make his own treat.

o Mental Fitness Cards - 120 cards (plus blanks) to mentally challenge your learners. Designed to go where you go and make use of those wasted minutes in the car, in the doctor's office, or standing in line at the check out.

o "New" Budding Author Series: (Several books) - (1) Stepping Into Writing, (2) Adventures in Writing, and (3) Then and Now-Writing Comparisons.
