Please join us for the IDEA Curriculum Fair at The Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage on Monday and Tuesday, April 18-19, 2005!

Schedule of Events, Monday:

    8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. ~ Keynote Breakfast with Joyce Herzog in the Fore Deck of the Discovery Ballroom, $10 pre-pay, $12 at door

                                        Anchorage - Purchase tickets at the Anchorage Office, 1815 South Bragaw, 562-4332

                                        Mat-Su - Purchase tickets at the Wasilla Office, 851 E. West Point Dr., 357-4850

    12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. ~ Exhibit Hall open in the Discovery Ballroom

    10:15 a.m. - 5:45 p.m. ~ Workshops in the Voyager, Quadrant, Adventure, and Endeavor Rooms downstairs

                                        Exhibit hall and workshops free to IDEA families, $20/person (spouses free) for those not in IDEA

Schedule of Events, Tuesday:

    9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. ~ Exhibit Hall open in the Discovery Ballroom

    9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. ~ Workshops in the Voyager, Quadrant, Adventure, and Endeavor Rooms downstairs

                                        Exhibit hall and workshops free to IDEA families, $20/person (spouses free) for those not in IDEA,

                                        free for those who paid the first day and return with their nametag from Monday

Parking:

The Hotel Captain Cook or Dimond Parking Garage 
Enter from 5th or 4th Avenue.
$.50 for every 20 minutes w/maximum of $15 /day - Pay when you leave

(Complimentary parking on the top two levels for Fair guests staying at the Cook Hotel.) 

5th and K - The most clearly visible parking lot. 
It is a corner lot located  kitty-corner from The Hotel Captain Cook
From 6AM to 6PM = $10, Evening = $5,  Day and Evening = $15 - Pay in advance.
(There are two companies within that lot and further away from the corner there is a $1 savings.)

 

Across from The Hotel Capt. Cook 5th Avenue Entrance & near J.C. Morris Insurance Agency - Take the alley. 
6AM to 6PM= $8, Evening = $2, Day and Evening = $10 - Pay in advance.

On either side of Insurance Agency are two lots (off alley or off 5th)

Please be aware that a portion of the lot is reserved and the box clearly states which portion. If you get across the alley there is a different lot and 1/2 is reserved and the other half is next door to LaMex.
6AM to 6PM= $8, Evening = $2, Day and Evening = $10 - Pay in advance.

3rd Avenue between H and K street - The road goes down off Third Street
6AM to 6PM= $6, Evening = $1, Day and Evening = $7 - Pay in advance.

Meals:

    There are several restaurants within walking distance and also in the Hotel Captain Cook itself.  Box lunches will be served to our staff and the vendors for lunch and dinner on Monday, and lunch on Tuesday.  There will be a limited number of $10 box lunches available in the Ballroom for sale to families after the vendors and staff have received theirs.

        1. Start at THE AIRPORT on W INTL AIRPORT RD going towards SPENARD RD, JEWEL LAKE RD - go 1.0 mi

        2. Turn Left on ramp - go 0.2 mi

        3. Continue on MINNESOTA DR - go 2.2 mi

        4. Continue on MINNESOTA BYP - go 0.4 mi

        5. Bear Left on I ST - go 0.9 mi

        6. Turn Left on W 4TH AVE - go 0.1 mi

        7. Arrive at W 4TH AVE AT K ST, ANCHORAGE
